...In [my local area] there is a practice that advertises
on the radio but instead of being encouraging and motivating
to infertility patients, their commercials are heartbreaking.
I would not go to their practice for that reason. This practice
is so friendly and truly seems to care about their patients
and their feelings and that is SO important…

as a patient. Obviously I am especially thrilled since I was
able to become pregnant after only one cycle under your care:
but I would feel the exact same gratitude even if the process
had taken a much longer time.
Given my recurrent loss history, along with non-related issues
like epilepsy and knee problems, I have been seen by my fair
share of doctors and other medical professionals at Duke,
UNC, Raleigh, and Asheville in the last few years. I have
been very fortunate to meet some wonderful people. However,
I put you and your entire team at the very top of my list.
While a patient at CARS, any time I had a question, no matter
how trivial it might have been, it was answered quickly, sensitively,
and honestly. I never felt like I was wasting anyone’s
time by calling to inquire about my test results or to ask
about my medication or symptoms. When I broke down and “lost
it” emotionally on several occasions, one of your wonderful
nurses would envelop me in a hug and was there to comfort
me. And you, as busy as I know you must have been, never rushed
me as I’d ask question after question, whether we were
in the ultrasound room or in your office.
With the amount of resources and technology available these
days, I am sure it’s fairly easy for you to help previously
infertile couples achieve their dreams of a baby –or
at least, you make it seem so. But it takes a very special
person to show his patients the kind of personal attention
and concern that you obviously do. I always felt extremely
cared for and cared about by you and your staff.
I hope you know how blessed I feel to have come to your office
and have been treated by you. I pray that you’re still
here in Asheville in a few years when we come back for child
number two, and look forward to being under your care again.
Thank you so much for all that you have done for me and please
pass along to everyone at CARS how fabulous I think they all
are! I’ll come by sometime next fall with our little
one so he can meet the people who helped bring him into this
world.
